Creamy Lemon Chicken Piccata is a quick and easy recipe

  • This Creamy Lemon Chicken Piccata was one of our favorite meals of the week. The fact that it was a one-pot dish that was served on the dinner table in 30 minutes was my favorite part! It’s similar to traditional chicken piccata, but with a hint of lemon. It gives this creamy sauce such a fresh and wonderful flavor. The chicken has a lovely breading on the outside, and it goes great with spaghetti. This dish was a hit with my entire family. We will make it again and again because it had such a lovely flavor!
  • This creamy and delectable American Italian classic is a must-try. Piccata means “pounded flat and cooked in a lemon, parsley, and butter sauce.” Because it’s made in one pan and takes only 30 minutes to prepare, you’ll have a delicious meal on the table in no time. Don’t be put off by the capers. They add a lot to the dish’s appeal. If you’ve never had them before, this is the dish to do so with. This luscious lemon piccata is a must-try!

What Is Creamy Lemon Chicken Piccata?

Chicken piccata is a traditional Italian dish in which sliced and pounded chicken breast is coated in flour and cooked in a light lemon sauce with capers. Along with quick chicken parmesan (parmigiana), creamy tortellini soup with sausage, and shrimp fettuccine alfredo pasta bake, it’s one of my favorite Italian recipes.

Creamy Lemon Chicken Piccata Ingredients

The combination of super simple components creates an amazing dish. Serve with a green salad and buns, and you’ve got yourself a meal!
  • Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, pounded flat if necessary.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Flour: Gives the chicken a lovely breading.
  • Apart from being a frying agent, butter adds flavor.
  • Olive oil is also used in cooking and as a taste enhancer.
  • Chicken broth adds flavor and thickness to the sauce.
  • Lemons: entire, fresh lemons
  • Heavy cream can be used for half & half, but the texture will be less creamy.
  • Look for capers among the pickles and canned pepperoncini.
  • Parsley is an optional garnish.
  • Angel Hair Pasta: You can use spaghetti noodles instead of angel hair pasta if you prefer.

What are Capers?

  • If you’ve never tried capers before, this is a great place to start. They’re usually eaten with chicken or fish and offer a lot of flavors. Capers are found under the matured flower buds of caper plants. Capers are harvested and dried. They’re then pickled to give them a tangy, salty, briny flavor that’s out of this world delicious.
  • These tiny condiments pack a punch in terms of flavor. It’s true that a little goes a long way. Salads, spaghetti, and poultry all benefit from them. They go well with fish because of their lemony flavor. Try some of the other dishes that highlight the benefits of capers. • Flour is required to make a nice crust on the chicken and for the sauce to adhere to it.
  • Use fresh lemon juice instead of bottled lemon juice. It won’t taste the same and may even ruin your meal. Keep this recipe as authentic as possible.
